The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) is an autonomous revenue collection agency of the Government of Balochistan, Pakistan. Its primary mandate is to enhance revenue collection by effectively managing and administering the sales tax on services and property tax in the province of Balochistan.
The BRA was established through the Balochistan Revenue Authority Act 2016, which came into effect on 1st July 2016. The authority is responsible for collecting, assessing, and enforcing taxes under the Sales Tax on Services Act, 2011 and the Balochistan Finance Act, 2014. It is also responsible for formulating policies and strategies for tax collection, creating a tax database, and conducting research and analysis on tax-related matters.
The key functions of the Balochistan Revenue Authority include:
- Collection of Sales Tax on Services and Property Tax
- Assessment and enforcement of taxes
- Formulation of tax policies and strategies
- Creation and maintenance of a tax database
- Conducting research and analysis on tax-related matters
- Facilitating taxpayers and providing guidance and assistance in tax-related matters
- Implementation of measures to prevent tax evasion and fraud
The Balochistan Revenue Authority is headed by a Chairman who is appointed by the Government of Balochistan. The authority consists of a Board, which includes representatives from different government departments and bodies, as well as experts from the private sector.

The government of Balochistan has announced new internship opportunities for Balochistan residents in Balochistan Revenue Authority BRA Internships 2023.

BRA offers internships in various fields such as human resources, administration, finance, accounting, taxation, auditing, information technology, law and communication.
HR/Admin/Finance/Accounts: Master’s/Bachelor’s (4-year) degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce or Economics.
Taxation: Master’s/Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounts or Marketing.
Audit: Chartered Accountants (CA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Master’s/Bachelor’s (4 years) in Accounting.
Information Technology: Master’s/Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Information Technology.
Law: Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
Communication Expert: Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations or Journalism.
The maximum age limit for this appointment is 28 years. Eligible individuals can apply online at https://apply.ebra.com.pk. Applicants can submit Applications online only through this portal.
The duration of the internship is six months. Selected internees will be paid Rs. 40,000/- per month. Eligible individuals can apply online till 31 March 2023.
